You might find me sticking my fork in the electrical outlet more than once in order to obtain a meaningfull data set. I'm a nerd. - I enjoy learning about biochemistry and nutrition, enough so that I'm in the process of completing a second bachelor's in chemistry (first's in microbiology) as preperation for graduate studies in clinical chemistry and functional nutrition. - Reading papers for a recent biochem class pushed me from a meat once a week whole food flexitarian to mostly vegan. I say 'mostly' because I ate a slice of cheese pizza a couple of weeks ago as a jesture of politeness to family.

I enjoy the outdoors; both city and wilderness.

I don't really care about sports, or video games.

I'm always busy so I'm not sure why I'm taking time to put an ad on here but maybe I'll find someone that can be busy with me. After all, it's more fun to have someone with you through fun and hardships alike. And, I've found out that once you are in a relationship, you tend to have a bit more time for fun activities outside of merely surviving. Quickly....I love ALL animals, plants, but can't say the same for ALL people. People that do not love animals and nature confuse me....some just enfuriate me but, for the most part, I get along with everyone and everyone seems to like me as well. I'm just a bit picky about who I will spend my time with or allow into my life from this point on after wasting many years around the 'wrong' people.

Apparently I'm one of those 'overly-sensitive' types...meaning, I've taken in a lot of animals into my home over the years and have, for the most part, taken in people with 'issues' as well. Someone once told me that it might be best if I allow someone to take care of me for once and I think I'd like that now. Not that I need to be taken care of but, it would be nice to date someone that I don't have to support or hold up emotionally anymore. Sometimes, I could use a little 'holding up' myself :)

For the most part, I've been single because I'm busy taking care of things that need to be done, working, fixing things around the house, etc. which doesn't leave much time to venture out and socialize, let alone go out and 'date'. But, I realize that I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to end up as the 'single, oddball, artistic cat lady'. Actually, I would really love to find time to be 'artistic' and spend more time with my cats AND dogs. Unfortunately, I've made home on top of a mountain and the weather up here (at least right now) is bitter cold and windy...even the dogs don't want to venture out. I'm surrounded by ski resorts but my snowboard and boots have hung in my shed collecting dust for far too long. I DO enjoy, very much, hiking through the many mountain trails that surround me with my dogs whenever time allows.

Spiritual life and family life are very important to me. At the same time, I do A LOT! Dancing, traveling, reading, speaking, writing, attending events, meditating, etc etc etc. If you have a lot of energy, great! And a non-attachment to what you are doing would be great, where we can try each other's activities and if we want to be together we will find our flow together...
