Hello! I am a vegan living in a non-vegan world, but I do what I can. :) I consider myself an optimist, but I am realistic. I don't believe in a god but I practice Buddhist philosophies the best I can. I don't believe the world is black and white. I love science especially chemistry. I was a chemist for a few years now I am embarking on a new journey to teach chemistry. I am nerdy and silly. I love to bake and cook vegan food. I loved having my first potted garden this past summer and can't wait for the next one. I like to be social but I also like to hang out in small groups or have time to myself. I can find beauty in the little things. I have two furry cat companions who I just adore! I love family and close friends. I don't smoke but occassionally do enjoy an alcoholic beverage. Some of my favorite music includes Iron and Wine and Andrew Bird. I love to laugh. I don't have a TV but I do enjoy movies and the occasional TV (currently watching Doctor Who and Fringe). I am yoga newbie.
