I am 1/3 Asian, my mom's mother was from Georgia Russia Scythian blond hair = 1/4, and my moms father was half Chinese, and his second wife was Nancy Reagan's sister, who insisted on sending me to a Quaker school for 2 years (LIBERALS). My fathers dna was M343 southern England probably. The book GESTURES about Euro culture = Finland or Finish upbringing, as my Russian Scythian grandmother was educated around Finish people in St Petersburg. FOOD: I COOK: rice (black and decker rice cooker), beans: limas, corn, veg beans, black beans, garbanzo, peas, cut green beans, veg refried beans, picante, no honey bbq sauce, hoi sin sauce, pasta, artificial cheese, or pasta sauce tomato basil, tofurky, temphe, seitan, CHOP CHOP veggies, organic celery, snow pea, lettuce, carrot juice, onion (cut the root side first else you bitter the bulb), potato, cucumber, corn on the cob, canned corn, some mexi corns read the label, frozen corn, (I avoid cruciferous veggies), add soybean oil or olive oil after cooking, add soy o'sauce. Nightshade plants are delicious with onions but deteriorated nightshades or turning green (potatoes/peppers) means solanine poison, so no deteriorated nightshades. I add coconut and raisins to salads and rice and beans and veggies. I add soybean oil after cooking, except some foods need olive oil (veg beans), and I fry with olive oil (microwave potato then fry). sometimes zucchini, squash needs beans, Avocados often, bananas are binding, I like berries, blueberries have lutien, good for the eyes. I often laugh and giggle with delight while preparing my food. Kraft creamy Italian salad dressing is veg ok & Catalina & Italian. Lays bbq chips are veg ok, I drink distilled water (but am concerned about the source "Wells, Santa Ana CA" does not appeal to me but what can I drink that is safe?)

Learning about nutrition is a hobby I enjoy. Vegan eating became a lifestyle in 2005 after I watched Diet For A New America by John Robbins. A plant-based diet is important for my body, emotions, conscience and soul; and contributes to caring for this abundant amazing planet we inhabit. Although I was raised in a family that served meat, I stopped eating mammals thirty years ago. How could I eat what I was? My life is wonderfully filled with animals (cat, dogs) that are companions, most from the streets originally. Most are seniors now, so I need to be even more devoted to being at home in more frequent intervals. Teaching and counseling has enriched my life for several decades. As I transition away from this work (at least, i am experimenting with that), I look forward to learning more about seeds, seed saving, native plants and preparing plant-based food with more variety. I would love to meet Vandana Shiva and enjoy her vast knowledge and wisdom. I do not drink alcohol, smoke, use drugs recreatiionally, and do not enjoy being around any of these. My hobbies are vast and creativity is at the core.
