I head a business for a living (yawn), but I am slowly phasing out and finally finding time to pursue the proverbial "other interests". I moved last year to Los Alamos, New Mexico...enjoying the fantastic climate and doing the things I love: such as hiking/biking in the mountains; writing-usually social commentary; and I intend to advocate for animal rights and the environment. Veggie for about 12 years. I think I am well balanced mentally/physically/spiritually. Satisfied with my appearance. Healthy; fit & toned. 5'11, 165#-thick hair-blue eyes. Sense of humor is good natured irreverence. I am very kind and gentle-but tough at the same time-if that makes any sense. I'm a sucker for an underdog-love to tweak conventional thinkers.

I'm an ex pro touring musician, (currently working on a new Album) never married, no kids, have run several businesses the past decade, now am in the process of some other ventures & adventures.. I'm currently working hard on building a passive solar home, next to the stream that flows through my property in the mountains near Santa Fe.

As a musician, I play Guitar, Keys, Drums, Native flute, and Sing, and am constantly writing new songs - so music is a huge part of my life! I'm a rocker - but I can listen to most any and all music.

The ultimate sustainable passive solar home I'm building is an earthship! It's about as green as ya can get! ; )
It catches water from the sky. It produces electricity and heats it's water from the sun. It is heated and cooled by the sun.   It's based on natural building materials. It has no utility bills, and no mortgage.  I have been working for a couple years on this project, and still have all interior finishing left to do - this is, and has been a huge very labor intensive project, but lots of fun, come help!

I am a big-time dog lover - I love big hairy dogs! I currently have two collies, Tramp and Blanco - they are my kids, and go everywhere with me! We go on daily hikes, they sleep at the foot of my bed. They never get on the bed with me.

I mean they hardly ever get on the bed with me.

Ok, what the hell, might as well be honest, I usually have to sleep on the damn floor because they kicked me off, as I toss and turn too much for 'em..yikes..

I am outgoing, friendly and enjoy doing social things when with a partner. I find when I am single I tend to stay home more, which I also enjoy very much. Movies, hiking, good conversation and being outdoors are a few things I enjoy. My property is a mini-sanctuary for several species of birds. Plus I share my home with cats and care for a dog that I found (he needs a home). Spending my time outside with these interesting creatures is fantastic. Plus it is so beautiful here and the weather is great. My serious side involves animal rescue work and maintaining my health. Trying to live gently and be environmentally considerate has led me to a vegan lifestyle. I earn my living as a pharmacist, but I am actually more of an anti-pharmacist! Prevention and acquiring good habits are the keys to a vital and long life. I work in a hospital and know that western medicine plays an important role as well.  Recently I installed a PV system to my home.  So sad that solar panels are not on every business and government building in the southwest, with the abundant sunshine.

It's difficult to list what you want in a partner. In my experience it tends to be a balance of what you logically think you want and what clicks. Someone responsible and that cares for himself would be great, so would a sense of humor, but if you don't have these characteristics we may click on the fact that we are both into movies. Someone who enjoys humor and silliness, yet is also responsible, compassionate, has integrity and is accountable.
