Things about me!   I like to cook, and I like to experiment with different techniques, including a brief affair with raw food.  Unfortunately, the young Thai coconuts got the better of me, so I remain a happy vegan.

Traveling is something of a hobby of mine--I've been to Australia, Costa Rica, England/Wales, Greece (Santorini) and I'm thinking about the next destination (I'm just as happy visiting more local places).  Other than that, I'm always up for discovering new things.  

I am an active individual--I take yoga classes when I can, and I walk often. I've also given myself a summer challenge--Beachbody's Insanity and Insanity Asylum workouts.    I've got two dogs, both of which I adopted, and I'm very happy they are in my life.   Finally, last but not lease, I am an avid reader, and will read just about anything.  In general though, I'm happier with fiction than with non-fiction, even though lately I've been on a bit of a non-fiction bender.

In the process of self-exploration relative to my health and what I really consider fun!! I've seem to have forgotten! I may be returning back to school to earn my degree as a DR of Naturopathy. Still exploring those options. Other than, that, I'm just moving forward!!

Single mom of two; both in college and creating their own paths for themselves. I'm at a pivotal point with regard to determining how how re-member myself and what that will look like. I'm currently exploring opportunities to relocate and earn an ND (Naturopathic Doctor) in either CT or WA State. My biggest hurdle right now which is setting me back somewhat is healing from multiple injuries (4 in 4 years) and gaining some freedom from physical limitations and pain. Otherwise, I'm continuing to explore my healthy lifestyle by maintaining a mostly raw vegan diet. I guess the more intimate details come in the comfort of exploration in getting to know one another. 

The ideal connection for me would be with someone who is a vegetarian, someone who's smart, sexy, health/environmentally conscious and a friend/partner with similar interests. I'm okay with our personalities being somewhat different. However, I enjoyed living in D.C. during an internship last fall.

My beliefs: I feel strongly about animal welfare and environmental issues, as noted above. Following a vegan lifestlye and staying true to my own beliefs is a higher priority for me than my religion. While I was raised Jewish and am still observant of some Jewish holidays and respect Jewish culture, I would consider myself to be an agnostic.

Seeking: You enjoy nature, travel, x/c skiing, hiking, & hopefully tennis & bicycling. You're smart. You probably have a graduate degree, but in my life I've encounterd a few high-school educated autodidacts who fit my definition of smart. You need to be okay with my religion. I am thoughtful, kind, smart, sensitive a bit goofy and usually not afraid to tell people what's really up. I like to keep active with hiking, cycling and Aikido. I'm almost always up for a new adventure. (Yes, I'm the kind of person who was delighted to have a friend call me before 8 on a Saturday for a you-gotta-go-right-now road trip to see a great theater troupe.) On the other hand, I really do like my down time to balance all that with some quality loafing. People tell me that I'm a good listener. I like going out for live music, especially in smaller venues. I have a good network of friends - people that I've kept in my life for a long time. Even though I've moved across the state for grad school I still get a pretty good stream of visitors from the western portions of our fair state. My friends do not become less important to me just because I'm dating - they are an important part of my life and just an awesome collection of eclectic folks.
