I am a vegan, trying to eat raw.  I love being outside, walking, biking. I value community.  I've learned to love smaller towns, or more natural areas, not big cities.  I am a psychology major, very interested in ecopsychology, mindfulness and how nature provides healing.    

My long term goal is to live with the land as much as possible, how that will manifest, I'm not sure.  perhaps living outside someday, building my own house with natural materials, foraging, helping establish edible forestry, who knows!

I enjoy the sciences and social sciences, I love talking about the wonders of the Earth, and I get really excited about some of the smallest things. I have been told I'm too smart and intimidating, but really I still have so much more to learn and I'm really a softy. I am overly empathetic and would love nothing more than for everyone to be able to just be okay. It bothers me that I am not able to do more, but most of my friends tell me I already do too much. I am a hopeless romantic and shamefully enjoy awful "chick-flicks." I look young for my age, and will most likely be a cougar someday. lol. I plan to move out of state for graduate school... where to? That depends on where I get accepted.

I have enjoyed outdoor activity and nature since I was a young adult.  I have had a daily meditation practice for many years.  During meditation I often “breathe in the beauty of the world”.  Over the years I have evolved into having a degree of spiritual reverence for this planet and for all living creatures that we share it with.  On some really good days I inherently feel the interconnectedness of all things, on some days I do not.

So I have this deep spiritual appreciation of nature, I practice “mindfulness” Buddhist meditation but do not consider myself a Buddhist, I attend Quaker meeting but am not quite a true Quaker either (I have definite pacifist leanings, but I’m not 100% pacifist………if my family was threatened, I would probably not sit quietly by while they were slaughtered).  Also do Qi Gong on some days, and sometimes mix in Reiki.

Take a tree hugger, add in a Buddhist with Quaker tendencies, add a touch of rational thought, stir, season well, allow to simmer, and I'm in there somewhere.

Am currently an organic farmer, in past life have been an engineer, business owner, entrepreneur, and CEO.  I am a bit of an introvert, with reasonably adept interpersonal skills.  Became a vegan a few months ago primarily for health benefits but also fits well with my values.

Had 20 years of a very good marriage to a good woman, then 6 years of rocky marriage........then divorce.  We raised two great young adult children.

My simplest pleasure is to do a sitting meditation in an outside, natural environment where I can breathe in the beauty of the world, listen to the frogs, crickets, birds, and feel the sun on my face.  This calms my mind, gives me a sense of wholeness, and imparts an innate appreciation of this green earth.

I am an active, enthusiastic, creative, and passionate person.  I love art, animals, the outdoors, yoga, reading, movies, writing, dancing, etc.  I am getting my MFA in Art (sculpture in particular) at the moment.  I'm a raw vegan (high carb/low fat) dietarily, so fruits, greens, nuts, seeds.  I've only ever dated meat-eaters and have always wanted to meet a vegan boy :)

I don't drink or smoke or do late-night partying.  I enjoy being active, well-rested, and vibrant.  I don't put a lot of stock into material things or wardrobe and makeup, so if you want a fashionista that takes 3 hours to get ready, move along :)

I'm seeking a fun-loving and passionate (vegan) guy.  Someone honest and straight forward, but with a sense of humor (sarcasm is my second language).  Someone who can be serious, but also knows when to let things go and enjoy life.  Ideally, my match would not drink or smoke and would put great stock in his own health and that of the world around him.

Seeking: Just someone with like interests, someone who would like to talk to me and see where that goes. I don't have much luck with that stuff too often. I love my independence but relish spending time with a loving woman, that "gets" me, is compassionate and intelligent and digs vegging out, to enjoy me or life's little things; but that is also happy in herself and believes in the possibilities of a loving, sensual, nurturing relationship.  If I am lucky enough to find a relationship, in which my woman seems to be that One, I think that I romantically imagine it will be like the relationship the two Protoganists have in the movie, Rob Roy.  It's a really good movie you should rent it.  :)
I think of my ex' 9 year old as my own son; I'm the only Dad that he'll ever know though I'm not legally or biologically connected to him, I think of him and love him as if he were my own.  I try to spend as much time with him as his mother will let me.  Usually time with him includes a few hours one day, sometimes 2 days out of the week; I call him every night.
I'm a vegetarian!  Yep, in Iowa of all places.  I became a vegetarian when I was a Freshman at I.S.U. in 1995 and have been an ovo-lacto vegetarian ever since.  I wish I could be vegan but it's so difficult in Iowa.

Lastly, I love riding my motorcycle!  I imagine a girl that would like to ride with me.
Ya know, I could go on but it seems like it'd be more appropriate and make more sense face-to-face.  So, I'll leave the rest for what comes.
