Living a Christian, vegan, positive, healthy lifestyle is of the utmost importance to me. I enjoy playing the mandolin and singing as often as possible with various church groups and a bluegrass band. I am a full-time caregiver for my mother who lives with me. When time allows, I enjoy volunteering, traveling and outdoor activities like gardening, cross-country skiing, hiking, etc., had a blast skydiving and am an avid photographer.

once a bandmate told me i was "a force of nature." i took it as a compliment and i think it's accurate. i am not really the basic elements but i am the thing that ties them all together. one of my professors called me "self effacing" and that's probably right too. i like to read out loud to an audience of one or more; when that happens i feel like i disappear and only the words have life. if you're looking for something i might be able to help you find it. i am good at finding things. if you're looking for nothing, and if you're looking seriously enough, i want to know you even more. i want to share something called "the ultimate being" with another person, but maybe i don't share it well enough with myself yet. we'll see. to realize the significance of being alive you have to untwist the habit-shapes of all your desires; no exceptions. does that sound difficult or frightening? i love to sing and have done it in many bands. my best instrument is drums. writting a lot of songs. am a professor at a community college. do macrobiotics but i am flexible within the general wisdom of vegetarian/whole foods. love the rocky mountain wilderness a lot. always in search of greater harmony, such as writing this now and becoming part of this site. have always made people laugh. have always been told that i am a good listener. i come from a family of preachers, it seems, but don't let that throw you off. i am proud of them all; they really have the spirit they talk about. but i am a buddhist, athiest, christian, nature-ist, rock music-ist, mystic something... love cooking and am very good at it and would love to cook for you. "he's a passionate person. he's into tibetan buddhism. when he does something, he does it completely. he's very creative and does a lot of spiritual things. he talks to God in a unique way. he does a lot of Tibetan Buddhist stuff. Wasn't H. E. Chokling Jigmed Palden Rinpoche staying at his house for awhile? He's weird." i am already fulfilled without a relatioinship; but all of me hasn't realized that yet, so that's why i'm here.

Holee molee I never know what to say when asked to describe myself?! I suppose I can begin by telling you I heart music and love to sing! I work as a vegan chef and I'm a bit of a nomad, ha! I'll have to think about how to better fill this portion out but in the mean time feel free to ask. :-)
