Hello, I am new to online sites and am honestly just curious what other vegetarians there might be in the area. I am recently divorced and have two great kids (4 and 6). I am kind, friendly, fit, healthy, happy, easygoing, and enjoy the company of nice people. I am a mechanical engineer and am somewhat enigmatic as a liberal, agnostic, vegetarian engineer (not many of those in these parts). I am rather well-travelled and love to travel (but haven't done much other than business trips in recent years due to my young kids). I just moved back to Charlotte after spending some time in Santa Monica, where I learned all about this vegan thing. So hey, I thought I'd check this out. I enjoy checking out restaurants and cultural events and other things going on in around the Queen City. I love being outside, and am trying to get into mountain biking and whitewater kayaking out here. I also love reading, but I don't do enough of it. I usually only get halfway through the Economist, and the latest Harry Potter book in Spanish is sitting unread -- it's a pretty thick book for someone on a 5th grade reading level! ;)
