Raw food diet.
I am a person who does not make connections often with people who are my type. I guess this site is a good gateway because people who primarily have a plant based diet, probably have above average passion for self health, and other common interests with me. I am consistently physically active, into yoga, love the Wii, love creating and observing comedy of all types, have a passion for creativity of all types, and am passionate about the raw food diet. I have been juicing veggies and fruit a lot lately and grow my own wheatgrass.

Being vegan is very important to me, and I would only want to be with someone who shares my views on this.

I am a kind, peaceful, positive person. I laugh a lot and smile easily. I work as a grower of perennials, and love my work. I love everything good, and in reality, all is good.
I love children, and look forward to having some in my daily life. We enter this world knowing all and connected with our inner selves; we owe it to the children to encourage this and to help them in following their own path.
I live simply, and like to reuse things and extend their life. I prefer to buy used items instead of new when I can, or wait for the things I need to find me. we continue to make all these new things, when there are plenty of them already around. Cars and homes are great examples.
I enjoy reading, but haven't chosen to take the time to much lately.
I used to like making artwork and playing music. In recent months, I haven't had as much drive to. I hope to do more again soon when my whim takes me.
postscript: I have not paid, therefore I can only reply

Raw food diet.
I eat a raw/live food vegan diet. I am looking to connect with people around NH because i just moved here and I am the only person I know who eats this way and would like to share a meal with others who enjoy this lifestyle. I am an active person; enjoys running, biking, and the great outdoors. I practice daily meditation. I have a great sense of humor and laugh often due to the constant ramble of jokes that find their way from my brain stem to face hole. As of 2013, I own and run an organic sustainable farm here in Danbury so living off the land is an income level I hope to sustain as long as I am here.

I am joyful, generous, enormously thankful for the abundance life has offered, optimistic by nature and realistic. I have this ridiculously crazy skill set, good knowledge and even better judgment, diverse experience with no regrets and loving life. I live by an environmental ethic and yogic principles-where indulging in life exists harmoniously with respecting it. Some words I would chose are: sincere, integrity, accomplished, strong, confident, generous, warm, fun, playful, dynamic, and humble, conscientious, creative, productive, down to earth, very passionate, affectionate, loving guy. I have good communication skills, I am respectful of others. Enough spice to keep things interesting, and strength and balance to keep things solid. I'd say I am physically fit, emotionally aware, and spiritually grounded; a romantic and lover. With that, all and all, just another simply guy.
I Retired young as a lifestyle choice and looking forward to the next chapters of life. I am wide open to where the next path may lead.
Interests include just about everything and if I haven't done it I'll try it. I'm curious to see who I can meet on this network. I've only met 2 gay vegetarians in my life and I think this site could increase that. I enjoy the outdoors, yoga, ice skating and natural products. I guess I can get more into myself through e-mails.

Hi. I'm silly, geeky, fun, caring, loyal, liberal, and intelligent. I'm very happy with my friendships, who are my home in a way. I love to cook, but I'm a little experimental in my cooking. Ok, a lot experimental. In fact, I can rarely reproduce a dish. (But they aren't bad, really!) I'm vegan for environmental reasons. I bike (or walk) almost everywhere. I live in the Boston area and really would like to stay here for the long term, because of my friends. I tend to just hang out with my friends, playing inside and out, with my free time. Hiking, talking, cycling, talking, reading, talking, cooking, talking, croquet, talking, cards, talking. You get the picture. I just haven't met someone special that I've really connected with, so I'm trying this out.

Almost veg diet.
Lets see. I grew up as an only child in Exeter. I've always loved cats. I used to be a lot more of a rigid thinker/engineer type, now I pride myself on being more open-minded. I try to bring a positive energy to my interactions with people but of course like everyone I can get tired or grumpy. I was Mr. student-athlete in high school, which got me into Tufts University where I recently graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. I find this appropriate because school was a bunch of BS. In fact those four years were sucky overall but I made a few great friends, had a couple great relationships (kinda dramatic though), and grew a lot as a person (you know, as opposed to growing a lot as an animal or plant). I love to learn on my own time, it's my main hobby - mostly having to do with the mind and health. I like watching movies and shows, but mostly just comedy. I prefer to have a small circle of close, trustworthy friends than be Mr. social, not because I don't like meeting people, but because I'm not crazy about normal people. I think the world is a messed up place but I'm thankful for the little things like pets, massages, taking walks, boogying down to some music, natural food, or a good night's sleep on my tempurpedic mattress. I don't really like drinking much. Meditation is sweet. Money is not my top priority but I do want to be able to live as independently as possible. I have recently had to adjust to not working out at all due to two nagging injuries. It's been really hard for me because the natural joy of using my body is one of the things I live for. I am substituting a walk every day. It's not as intense but it's fun.
My favorite foods include:
white rice, sweet potatos, homemade guacamole, plantains, ginger, coconut oil, kale, mangos, batatas, cassava root, burdock root, raw unpasteurized goat milk kefir, spicy pork sausages grown locally and humanely, my neighbors eggs, kombucha, wild salmon.
Here are some things I think about:
how a profile can be an interesting artform in itself, why the simplest things listed as interests seem so much more intersting when youre reading them listed on somebody else's profile (and does it mean we should all be epicurean). I wonder if the narrative the news channels tell us is just a veil before our eyes. I like to reflect on how fast life goes by, things change so much over time. who am I? becoming more alive and present, how everyone has a death but they die differently and the experience much be so different depending on how you go . I think it adds meaning to life. And psychology, and what consciousness is. Lately I have been focusing on how amazing everything is. Like how anything exists at all.

Sweet, sarcastic, optimistic, quirky. I love to travel, meet new people, talk about animals and veganism. My cats are my children. I'm always open and honest, and I love to make connections with others and be inspired. I'm content and confident in the person I am, but i always take every opportunity i can to improve myself and learn. Nature and music are my biggest muses. You can find me puddle hopping, eating avacados, or rocking out to the deftones on most days.

Ahhh....ok then, I am a mindful person that lives life with fullness and gratitude for what comes my way. I teach high school full-time and play music professionally part-time. I want it to be the other way around, therefor I'm working on my first CD at 48 years old (go figure). I don't have a desire for fortune and fame, but I would like to share my music more and more. I feel younger than my age, so I believe that anything is possible. I truly feel that self-doubt is what keeps most people from experiencing life to the fullest.
I am fortunate to have awesome friends in my life and believe that it is not by mistake. As I have grown on my path of self discovery, I have learned that you get what you give. I mean that sincerely and not in any kind of self-serving kind of way.

I am an independent idealistic gal who loves to hike, kayaak, snowshoe and camp, but admittedly loves her cat, tarantula, and rabbit more. I try to laugh as much as possible, but also realize that there are times to be serious and take care of business as well. As for entertainment, my favorite movie is "American Psycho" (despite this admission, this is NOT an open invitation for anyone possessing a severely demented personality disorder to contact me, however) and my most beloved band is "The Cure". I have no tolerance for liars, so any fishermen out there need not apply, obviously. Since I teeter-totter between my introverted and extroverted personality traits, I have been told that being around me can be quite the exhilarating roller-coaster ride, so if you're interested in tagging along for the ride, hit me up - you just never know what kind of adventure we may have.

I think I'm a study in contrasts (although I prefer to call this 'balance' ;). I'm intelligent, but certainly have had my share of stupid moments. I'm artsy and feel things deeply, but I'm viciously tempered by reason. I forgive easily, but definitely expect responsibility from myself and others. I strive to find this balance in my life and I feel like I've made wonderful strides in this direction. Nonetheless, I'm the first to acknowledge how far I have to go. My compassion for our world, acceptance of others, and unfaltering optimism are my greatest allies.
I work as a psychotherapist in private practice. My spare time is spent practicing/teaching yoga, playing guitar, singing, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my dog and cat. I can adapt easily to a serious topic or be silly as heck (see 'contrasts' thing above). Similarly, I love being outdoors or just spending time inside watching a movie. I'm super easy-going, and you'll have to work pretty darn hard to get me to freak out (not that that's a challenge or anything!).
I take the world's WORST photos so bear with me here. I think the one of me below in the 'apparently under the influence or apathetic as hell' is a winner and the best it gets! ;) (by the way, as much as that photo implies it, I hardly ever drink and do not use drugs)

I've been vegan for the last 6+ months, prior to that was vegetarian for over 5 years. I'm very compassionate when it comes to animals and conscientious about the widespread abuse of those who are most vulnerable in the world, including animals. I also care about my health and do my best to take care of myself. I've also recently started to learn how to cook, but I'm a newbie right now when it comes to that. I did take a class recently though that had some awesome recipes.
About me: I have a solid career/no baggage/my act together, I feel I'm pretty good looking, intelligent, have a good sense of humor/am generally light-hearted, take care of myself/keep myself in shape, I'm a very giving person, sometimes perhaps too much even, I'm conscientious, wise enough to not put myself into bad situations or look for trouble yet brave/courageous enough to step up when I need to. I'm looking to be committed in a long-term relationship with a woman who is like-minded. I've never been married, never had kids, and I'm not involved with anyone either. I have always believed in the principles of committment and in building a strong family-unit. I don't know what more could be reasonably wanted or expected of a person. Considering what else is out there these days I feel I've got a lot more to offer a woman than the average single guy walking the street.
I've been working as an RN since 2007. I run a unit of 42 residents at the county nursing home....currently working the night shift. I started as an LNA there nearly 9 years ago and then put myself through nursing school to become an RN. It's not easy to work full time and go to school full time, but it wasn't the first time in my life I've done it either. It's challenging work but can be rewarding in more than one way. I also have a B/S in computer science/business. I've paid my dues and then some. 8 years of full time college credits, all told...8 years! /O:
I play guitar (mostly acoustic, though have played some organ/piano as well) and have written a few originals that I feel are pretty good. I've been doing it off and on for the better part of a decade, though haven't been doing it as much these past few years when I've been concentrating on my nursing career. I've been very well received during open mics I've done in the past though, and I'm intent on getting serious about it now. It's been kind of a slow process getting back into it for me though, kind of a 2 steps forward and 1 step back sort of thing. Currently working on getting down a few select originals along with a cover or two.
I have a 1 year old min pin and he's cute as all hell and sweet as can be. He is playful and a bit wild. That's one of his endearing traits at times, other times it can be a bit of a PITA (that isn't people for the ethical treatment of animals, either). On the whole I do a pretty good job keeping him in check though. But I do love him to pieces.
As far as what I'm looking for, well that could simply be described as my "other half." The woman who would make me feel whole and complete. I'm pretty open minded, and I'm not all that picky when it comes to superficial details, but I would definitely prefer to be with another vegan, which is why I am here. To me it takes a person with a special kind of heart to care about those who suffer yet have no voice of their own to be heard. Sadly few do these days, and above all else I'm looking for a woman with a very good heart.

I have an appreciation for odd and random humor. I love silly, goofy humor as long as it's not at the expense of others. I'm really into the local music scene (Boston) and I love going to shows and hearing new bands, the smaller the venue the better. I've been a vegetarian for about 12 years now, I've recently tried veganism, but I chose not to continue. However, It forced me to learn to cook healthier recipes, and many of the things I make and eat now are vegan. I highly recommend "vegan with a vengeance", every recipe is amazing. I love the smell of coconut, could live without chocolate (but not peanut butter!), I love Guinness and Sam Adams, ethnic foods and banana flavored anything... I'm a pretty independent girl and just looking to meet new people.

I'm a college professor, writer, mapmaker, father, moderate sports fan, cat owner, amateur photographer, and reluctant homeowner. I bake my own bread, have strong beliefs, and work too hard (but do what I do because it is what fascinates me, so there is no clear separation between my job and the rest of my life). I'm not what most women in the online dating world seem to want, but if you read often, prefer foreign films to TV, would rather drive two-lane roads than the interstate, choose the unknown and unconventional over the familiar and popular, have heard of the Mekons or Wendell Berry, like a good argument, and hate people who check their Blackberry during dinner, we may have something to talk about. I get along best with people who, like me, are curious and particular, passionate about many things, like spending time on their own, get angry about all the major and minor injustices in the world, and occasionally feel like they don't fit very well on this planet.

Raw food diet.
I'm a vegetarian, moving forward towards raw/vegan. It's been three weeks and I like it. At my age I'm trying to be the best I can be and stay healthy doing it. I always believed in food being your medicine. I'm a low key person looking for someone to hang out with doing thing like exploring whatever we want to explore. I've been told that I'm a funny, strong, compassiate person willing to help if I can. Hopefully, I will find love, that love you can grow old with.

I am a spirit-filled gentleman of noble character. I believe in Catholic teachings. Jesus is my hero and I attempt to become more like Him each day. I enjoy bringing Communion to the faithful in nursing homes. Actively volunteer. Celebration of mass, receiving Eucharist, prayer and Rosary are the heart of my faith. The Word of God came to life when I traveled to the Holy Land and followed Jesus' path across Israel with my dad and a group from St. John's Seminary. Met John Paul II in his residence for mass & audience on the return flight from Israel (a story in itself). I am very athletic. I enjoy skating, skiing, hiking, cycling, dancing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, tennis, weight training, aerobics. I will dance to Top 40, Swing. I am a vegan who is experimenting with the raw food diet. Plan to hike, ski the Alps, and cycle the country roads of France, Italy. Like to fill the wood stove and relax to music or a good book after busy winter day, if you don't find me on the ski slopes. Enjoy gardening, both flowers and vegetables.

Other interests: home improvements, photography, dirt biking, dancing ( I have done many forms of dance)naturopathic medicine, reiki, Munay-KI. I believe in living Happy..of which is an internal job. I am honest, compassionate, free-spirited. I don't like drama..yes I have kids and a history like most, but I make my own life and do not depend on someone else to complete me.

Originally from Baton Rouge, now in New England. Friends wrote this about me: loving, a twin, a father, a musician, a lawyer, a Pisces (very much,) a dreamer, the least jealous person on earth, spiritual, always in love with life, joyful and happy, way independent (and he adores independence), trusting, passionate, compassionate, a vanilla fan, daring, unconventional (very), a nonconformist, amazed, and wanting the most love possible for others - whatever the "cost"; honest (a fav saying is that there's nothing such as "brutal honesty - - it's dishonesty that's brutal.) He's extremely non-judgmental.

Generally speaking I am a business/finance professional, musician and student. I enjoy hiking, camping and outdoor activities, and consider myself an environmentalist. All said, I like to stay active and am not lazy mentally or physically. I am a pretty diverse individual with various interests and complex life goals, but aside from my interests or what I do for fun my personal qualities help to best define me as an individual. According to what I’ve been told, some of those could include: trustworthy; hardworking; good sense of humor; laid-back; considerate; reliable; open-minded; creative; and respectful. I usually listen more than talk and think before I speak. When relaxing I enjoy good music or simple peace and quiet, the arts, dark beer, good wine, and the like. I am an NPR junky and find "Jon Stewart and the Daily Show" to be simply the best voice of reason, satire and political discourse. Favorite quote: “My favorite three words are ‘I don’t know’, because every time I use them I learn something” – T. Leary
