About 13 years ago, I had health issues - high blood pressure and high cholesterol, among a few other maladies that were signs of age and disease. I started substituting and eliminating certain items from my diet, and each change would simply make me feel better. I added a little exercise to the lifestyle, and within 6 months had lost 50 pounds, reversed the HBP and cholesterol levels, as well as reversed the beginnings of arthritus. One year into the new lifestyle, I had made so many changes that I realized one day that I was, in fact, vegan. It was completely evolutionary, and not specifically intentional, although I am now rather proud of my way of life. But by the process of improving my health, naturally evolved my spiritual self, and, of course, my respect and love for all things natural.
