So, let’s start with bad stuff –

I am impulsive and restless at times!

I’m super scared of ‘insects’, Extremely lazy (not into ‘climbing mountains et all, but often “dream”, that ‘someone special’ will motivate ME, to be more physically active & get involved with the “outdoors” :)

I get “emotional”, while watching “emotional movies”, if you know what I mean :)

And stay up way too late, way too often. There is something about the nighttime that I find magical, “if you will”, which keeps me up working or hanging out aimlessly. Can you relate?

I've worked hard for what I've got (materialistically), and learned what it takes to get things done, both in terms of fun time and work time.

I have a variety of interests, and I'm a reader. I'd rather be hiking than watching TV, but I do like movies and music at home, and I'm pretty handy with mechanical/technical stuff. I have a retirement career that I probably spend too much time on (but I enjoy it).

I selected raw food as my "vegetarian strictness" :) but I am not 100%, I mix in some macro in the evenings most days. I feel best the closer to 100% I get. I was also about 80% raw in my 30's, but could not sustain it - wasn't getting enough greens!

I have been a vegetarian my whole life, but I am not an activist. My boys (8 and 9) eat meat and that is their choice and I don't have a problem with it. It is weird that I am a vegetarian, because I am originally from Arkansas. I never liked meat, even as an infant, but was forced to eat it until 7.

I am socially and fiscally conservative, which puts me at odds with most of the ads that I have seen on any veg site.

I do not have pets and have no interest in having any. I really don't get why everyone has to have a pet. Their houses smell bad, and one can't do anything without taking a pet into consideration (whether it is dinner after work or a weekend camping trip). I do have a problem with people consistently crating their pets, it is wrong and not an acceptable training tool.

I have been a software developer for over 19 years and currently work for Dell as a consultant. In the past I have worked for IBM, The Nielsen Company (tv ratings), Aegon Insurance among others. I love what I do for a career!

My hobbies include: sailing, scuba, camping, canoeing/kayaking and guitar. I am open to other hobbies that allows interaction with the person I am with. I have sailed my boat to the Florida Keys on multiple occasions and the Bahamas for a three month trip before.

Before I tell you more about myself, let me quickly tell you about this vineyard not far from me. It's called Lakeridge Winery. Every Saturday afternoon during the Summer they have a wine tasting and outdoor concert. Sometimes the band plays jazz, sometimes they play blues. I went several times last year, and had a blast. Besides the delicious wine and good music, the sun setting behind the vineyard is simply breathtaking.

This month in addition to visiting Lakeridge, I'm heading to Leu Gardens to see the Camellias (if you haven't seen them in full bloom, you should). After that, I'll hit this French cafe off of Park Avenue. It comes highly recommended.

As you can see, I enjoy things other than the typical night of club hopping!

I have been a vegetarian for 29 years - since I was 13 years old. It has played a huge role in my life. I cannot take an animal's life for my own personal use so ethical reasons for becoming a vegetarian are more important to me than the health reasons. Although, that is a huge bonus. I love to work out and stay fit. Aerobics and muscle training are my two favorites. I also love to hike, but haven't done too much since moving back to Florida. I lived in the mountains of North Carolina for 5 years and hiked all the time. I would love a hiking partner here who isn't an alligator, snake or a crazy bird. Hiking near a Florida swamp really isn't the same as the NC mountains!

I worked as an elementary school teacher for 10 years but my current job is home schooling my daughter. I spend most of my time doing all sorts of activities with her. She spends 3 nights a week with her father so I have a lot of free time on those days.

My favorite things to do, besides working out and hiking, are reading books, crocheting/knitting (no I'm not 70 years old!), dancing, watching movies, exploring new places, etc.... I like trying new things so bring it on!

I was raised Jewish so the Jewish culture is in my blood but I have a hard time believing 100% in any religion. It seems like some kind of sordid, wicked fairytale to me. I am not certain if there is a God but if there is I am certain he is nothing like what's written in the bible.

My family is very important to me. In fact, my parents and I bought a huge house together. They live in the main part of the house and I live in my own apartment downstairs from them. It works out perfectly for my daughter and me. Live-in babysitters!!!! They are a huge part of my life.

I want to clarify that I don't eat eggs or fish, or products containing eggs or fish derivatives since some people who consider themselves vegetarians eat eggs and/or fishes. I never drink or smoke and I never will because it's very unhealthy. Members of the medical community have suggested that one should drink a certain amount of wine each week but you definitely don't need to; you can get similar benefits by eating things like walnuts, pistachios, cashews, and other dry fruits, without the harmful effects of alcohol. About 17 years ago, I had health issues - high blood pressure and high cholesterol, among a few other maladies that were signs of age and disease. I started substituting and eliminating certain items from my diet, and each change would simply make me feel better. I added a little exercise to the lifestyle, and within 6 months had lost 50 pounds, reversed the high BP and cholesterol levels, as well as reversed the beginnings of arthritus. One year into the new lifestyle, I had made so many changes that I realized one day that I was, in fact, vegan. It was completely evolutionary, and not specifically my intent, although I am now rather proud of my way of life. But by the process of improving my health, naturally evolved my spiritual self, and, of course, my respect and love for all things natural. I'm not a true activist, but rather a defender of animals in my casual interactions and discussions with my fellow two-legged creatures. I work in the IT field, having had a business of my own for the past 11 years.

Hi! How are you today? I've just finished work and am getting ready to prepare my vegetarian dinner. My work with Hospice is more up lifting then a downer but I do need to unwind afterward.

I will go online after eating and check all of my newspaper and magazine sites as I do like to keep informed. After that some reading then my meditation which relaxes me for sleep.

Tomorrow I am off and most likely will be in my back yard doing some yard work...any activity outside gives me such energy. I miss living near the beach but being among the trees is very peacefull. I love to travel but at the same time value the home life.

As you now know I am single...hard to believe after all of these years. While I enjoy my solitude I do miss having some one by my side to share in all of the bounty of life. I love to have spirited conversations on most subjects. I can be quite silly at times...it is likely we will have mutual trim belly's from our laughter.

Just like for many of you it has come to online dating even for me. Fought it for a while but after the last man I met in a bar, it was either that or turning lesbian. The latter was just not my thing so here I am.

I thought reading Dating 101 book would help get this started but I don't have time for it just like I don't have time to go out 5 nights a week... so I just read the summary of the book; show interest in his stories only to revert back to the best things about yourself, show that you are funny, intelligent and that you are spicy (like Indian food). Good. I got this!

I'd like to think that I'm entertaining, funny, up for almost everything. I can hold an intelligent conversation, love to travel, love to talk,and be adventurous.

Others have said that I'm intelligent, attractive, that I've inspired them (Grey Goose has lost some valuable

customers due to this- I don't drink) and that my appreciation for life is something u rarely see these days.

I'm feminine...usually a lady, but I'm not a feminist, and I know when to let my hair down (literally). I appreciate what a man does for me & I hope he does the same when I do something for him. I tend to think many people forget how to appreciate one another once they're in a relationship. Well, I try not to do that.

Physically, I'm not perfect; is anyone after 50? However, I still get lots of looks from the opposite sex and everything on me is REAL, right down to my nails. Ok, I admit it, loreal helps a little. ;) Many tell me that I look much better than my pics, but I'll leave that for you to decide as I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Mentally, I'm sure I have an issue or two that is covered by some large word in a medical dictionary, though according to my daughter (who's in the medical field,) I have less issues than the majority of people in this world, and nothing that requires meds. ;) I've grown beyond many of the things that 'allegedly' prove youth, so I don't need to hang out at the bars or other activities like that. Of course, the above 'doesn't' mean I act like an ol' fogie. In fact, at any one time, you might find me dancing in my kitchen, or around the house, even when there's no music to be heard. I hum my own. Camping out overnight in an RV or tent, can capture my attention in a heartbeat.

My friends tell me I'm 'lady-like', but not stuck-up. I can still play, however, I know the difference between playing & acting irresponsibly. I have the ability to compromise, yet I can also stand up for what I believe. I learned how to agree to disagree, many moons ago. Additionally, I have a sense of humor, so anticipate laughing often.

I am a full-time fitness instructor and trainer and love the flexibility of working for myself and being able to set my own schedule. Since my job is so active, I tend to lean towards R and R activities after work: movies, dinners out and cooking, reading, beach/pool, Everblades games. I have become a little bit more of a homebody in the last few years, but I also still love to get dressed up for a night out on occasion too!

I love to travel and relish weekend trips away. I'm also a "foodie" so many trips are planned around visiting restaurants that I've heard about or am dying to go back to. I'm up for trying anything new, so in true fashion I'll give this online thing a shot. I am a person who is very happy with his life, secure and comfortable in my skin. Ideally I would like to find someone who is a friend and more. I think communication is key, so is laughter and compromise. Best of all, I'm just "normal"! I don't know when that became a compliment, but I've been hearing that lately. lol I guess I am looking for a woman who's lifestyle, free-spirit and open mindedness is consistent with mine.

I enjoy going out to listen to live music. Classic rock, Jazz, and Blues are some of my favorite. I know of a few great spots to do so, and always on the look out for new ones. I enjoy leading a healthy lifestyle, as my plan is to only get younger from here! ;) On the weekends I will try to do some mountain biking, kayaking, some form of water skiing, or even just lounging at the pool/beach.

I actually love to learn. Some would consider my interests to be on the 'geeky' side! I'm okay with that. lol I've always been fascinated with the Universe, evolution, physics, and especially ancient civilizations, etc. Which all leads back the age old question, ...Where the f--- did we come from??? So I can't exactly brag about being the most religious dude around. I have no problems if you are religious, but if you have Jesus all wrapped up in yo-daily business, you will probably not appreciate my skeptical nature.

I consider myself to be a very ambitious, and goal-oriented person. My work is a labor of love! I am very passionate about the projects I'm developing, and hope that one day it will have a positive affect people's lives.

Well lets start here, I've been 85% raw vegan and 95% organic for the last 3 years and wish it was a lot longer. I was a trampolinist and gymnast and would have been sooo much better off with that type of diet. I love keeping active and meeting other people with the same ideas.
