Bad shoulder has caused me to watch to many movies.

I've been a vegan vegetarian most of my life since 21 years of age.

I have been into the vegan lifestyle for over seven years now and it is something that means quite a bit to me. Being in a relationship with a woman who is in the vegan world would be ideal. The following is some information concerning myself: * I am fortunate to have the love of some pretty special people, such as my family. * I was born and raised in S. California (and yes, I still say dude). I have lived in Pasadena, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Alameda (central California) and San Diego. I was also in Cape May, New Jersey for about two months and Yorktown, Virginia for about five months. * I am a veteran of the United States Coast Guard (3 years, 11 months of active duty). * If A.S.L. is your primary language, please do not be shy. I have a fairly decent knowledge of A.S.L. and know a decent amount about deaf culture. * I can admit when I am wrong...(I still have my moments though). * Alleviating hunger worlwide would be a staggering triumph for humans. * I am more than cool with older movies. I may even drop a line from time to time, "You should be kissed, and often, and by someone who knows how". * The low 80's (in Farenheit) is probabaly my favorite temperature. I have felt the wrath of approx. -50 degrees F in the Bearing Sea area and approx. 120 degrees F in the Phoenix area. * I couldn't hide it if I tried, I am pretty eccentric, but this can be a good thing. * The harsh realities of life can be daunting at times to contemplate. * I consider myself someone who can be really good to talk with and I admire this quality in others. * I have never owned a cellphone. * I am definitely more of a cat person (no offense to the dogs). * I consider myself to be athletic and have tried many althletic related things in my life. One of my favorite activities in the Phoenix area is indoor rock climbing...it can be such a good energy release. * I can make people laugh. * I love to watch waves breaking on the shore. * I like Chess! * I no longer have a vehicle and I am riding a bicycle now. It is great exercise but there are definitely days when a vehicle would be nice. And a Phoenix summer is quickly approaching...ahhhh! (by the way, I am aware that a proper sentence should not begin with And). * I tend to be rather hard on myself. * I love, love, love (should I write it once more) trivia. I do tend to get a little intense while watching Jeopardy. (fantasy)...My future lady and I sitting on a couch together reading off Trivial Pursuit cards to each other...now that, is hot!!! * I don't think that I could ever make it through Forest Gump without sobbing. * I personally think that I am quite good in the kitchen. O.K., so probably my favorite meal: steamed potatoes (Red and/or Russet work well), mashed up a bit with olive oil and some sea salt. Some tofu patty (the Wildwood brand) mashed up a bit with the potatoes. Maybe some garlic seasoning. How about some red bell pepper to go with it and maybe some carrots! So filling and it tastes so good! * I very much respect the raw food diet and gave it a try for about two months once. I did not do well with it but I must say that I was not doing it properly at all. It was my fault, not the raw food diet. * I would potentially like to work with an animal rights advocacy organization and/or teach at the high school or college level. The job that I am partaking in right now is not a job that I aspire to do for much longer and hopefully things will change soon. I would like to feel as though I am making a positive impact on the planet and I know that I very much can. * I would say that my taste for music is diverse. How good is Russell Thompkins Jr.'s voice...The Stylistics doing "Break Up To Make Up" is one of my favorite songs. Frente's version of "Bizarre Love Triangle" is another one of my favorites and Michael Crawford singing "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again", just to name a few. * I definitely consider myself to be affectionate. Just simply holding each other can literally be euphoric to me. I enjoy giving physical attention perhaps more than receiving. Not to try and win too many points but I will also say that I consider myself to be rather passionate (maybe it's from watching some of those older movies). * Some things that I may find really nice in a relationship: * Being able to laugh together is important for me. * Having someone to cry with when needed, maybe someone who is holding you before a tear drops, because they know you that well. * Having someone who gives positive affirmation. * I highly admire loyalty (perhaps because I could use some work in this area at times). Vegan diet.

I have been a vegetarian for twenty years, and a vegan most of that time. Several years ago, I was 95-100% raw for about a year and a half, and now I am vegan, both cooked and raw food, no caffeine/alcohol/marijuana/drugs, and avoid wheat/gluten, sugar, and fried foods. I am also knowledgeable in a variety of natural health practices such as medicinal herbs and therapeutic massage. I meditate and do yoga regularly, and enjoy long walks, hiking, music, dancing (esp. salsa/latin), reading, and watching netflix and occasional news programming (no regular TV). I lead an ecological lifestyle, living alone off-grid in the country in a self-built, solar powered, solar heated zero emissions cabin, and drive a hybrid. I live a peaceful, quiet, and meditative life, spending most of my time in solitude. Although I am a bit of a hermit, I enjoy social interaction with intelligent and creative people. I am part-time self employed, investing in and selling low-priced rural land parcels, and in this way helping people realize their dreams. In the past, I have also been a massage therapist and a high school teacher, among other things. I am well traveled, especially throughout the Americas, and I speak some Spanish and Portuguese. I am a masculine man, although I have my sensitive side as well.

For over ten years, I have been on a path of conscious cultivation of my life force energy (chi) and sexual energy as informed by tantra, taoism, sacred sexuality, meditation, chi gong, and other forms of energy work and spiritual practice. This path has been mostly on my own, and also with periods of time with a lover or partner. I approach love/sex/relationship as an independent and freely chosen spiritual connection rather than from a dependent place of emotional and/or physical need. I would welcome the opportunity to explore deeply such a connection with the right kindred spirit where we could create and experience beauty and magic together. Ok here goes... For my 40th bday present I gave myself a life long dream, I sold everything and moved west, landing in Sedona a month ago. I was going to travel for a few years but then I found a cozy little log cabin with a wood burning stove that backs up to hundreds of miles of national forest. I still plan on traveling and more than anything would like an adventure travel partner. You can be male or female looking for like minded friendship or if you are a male looking for love that is my ultimate goal.

I am emotionally healthy (took many years of therapy to achieve this), athletic, LOVE outdoors, have 4 pets (only 2 are here with me in AZ), eat mostly vegan except when traveling since I have a severe gluten allergy, prefer reading over tv, don't watch or read news, regular person. I am like most people, in my own odd way... I am not perfect but am constantly trying to imrpove myself and learn how to have better relationships.

I love to hike, cycle, kayak, backpack, camp and adventure. I am a journalist and designer by trade, but took a hiatus a few years back to pursue a dream of organic farming, and did an excursion with WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities in Organic Farming). I now work for an organic farm in Phoenix, I'm trying my hand at organic gardening of my own, and experiment with being a raw-foods chef on the side, which I would love to pursue further in my life when the time is right.

I love the outdoors and road trips to check out beautiful places. Red rocks, coastline, sun, waterfalls, picnics, beach. I enjoy hiking. I have spent a lot of my life traveling. I've visited 15 European countries and several Mexican countries. I have lived in a lot of different places.

Quirky city culture is something I enjoy exploring (dusty book nooks, thrift stores, offbeat cafes, live music). I am a creative person and love all things artsy (museums, photography, modern dance, indie films, comedy and improv, architecture and design).

Here's the nerdy stuff - books, aaahh, I love books. I relish curling up and getting lost in a book. I have this sort of fantasy of hanging out with my guy (friend or more, hehe) and sitting on opposite ends of the couch each reading our books, HA!! I know, my fantasies get wild, right? ;) I really like board games, too! And photography and documentaries.

Yoga and Tai-chi are high on my list of things to pursue. I meditate. I enjoy the quiet and awesome beauty of nature. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I love dance. Watching it, or doing it! Although this is not a requirement, it would be fun to meet a Salsa dance partner. Or try something like Swing dancing. Fun!!

Food has a unique place in my heart. I grew up in an Italian household and adored my Grandma, a master cookie-baker! I share her spirit, because I LOVE experimenting in the kitchen, but my passion has turned healthy, with raw cuisine (I consider myself "raw" because that's what I strive for, and try to eat the most of, but I do enjoy vegetarian and vegan cooked food occasionally, especially ethnic restaurants.

I love hosting dinner parties with great friends who enjoy healthy foods, raw desserts, great conversation, maybe a glass of wine, and music!

And last, but definitely not least, I have a beautiful, sweet, amazing 2-year-old, and I love being a mommy! It does not define all of me, but I would be lying if I did not mention that it does take up a good chunk of my time and any friend of mine would have to respect my mommyhood. I take care of animals for a living. I don't eat them! I am also a pet dog trainer. As well as a student at SWIHA in the Mind/Body Wellness Practitioner program. I was semi veg for over two years and then I saw Earthlings and I've been vegan ever since. I don't cook and while I still indulge in processed and cooked foods at this point, I eat mostly raw at home and plan to continue on that path. I went cruelty free awhile ago as well and recently was exposed to the idea of abolistionist veganism and consider myself to be one. I moved to AZ for love after being in a long distance relationship for 8 months. It didn't work out. I am guardian to 3 canines, a Boston and 2 Boxer mixes, and they are all vegan as well. I ride my bike 6 miles each way to work and biking is my transportation. I prefer to live as green as I can. That's enough for now!

Hi There Thanks for reading my profile. A friend told me about veggie date & I decided to join after reading some of the profiles. There are some really amazing people on here, so I thought I'd jump in & see who I'd meet.

I'm an easy going, fun loving person looking to meet new people. Vegan for about 6 months & am Luvin it. Decided to go veggie first after watching a movie about Buddha. When hearing that he had lived hundreds of lives, some of them as animals, fish & birds, something shifted(?)//changed within my heart & my spirit. I was moved right then not to eat something that had been another living being. To my suprise, I have become much more balanced, compassionate & spiritual as a person since then. I went full vegan about 3 weeks later after watching "Forks over Knives" & haven't looked back! My friends & family respect & support me in this.

Am drawn to many faiths - Christian, Buddhism, Hinduism, New Age spirituality & more. I don't believe I should "Label" who I am as a spiritual person & I also don't judge others according to what they do (or don't!) believe. I simply go where I'm led if that makes sense. I am a vegetarian for over 20 years, I do have a desire to eat fish and maybe one day that will change. I have struggled for years to stop eating dairy products such as cheese, egg whites, yoguart, and cottage cheese. About a month ago, I decided to cut the strings, I have not had any cheese, eggs, yoguart or cottage cheese since than and I am so glad I was finally able to omit these out of my diet. I like the outdoors and will go on short hikes whenever possible. I have added more workouts into my schedule lately and have made it a priority to make this a lifestyle. I am from Portland, Oregon. I bought a second home here in December 2010. My most expensive impulse buy ever, but I am so happy I did it at the time. I had a job selling an expensive law enforcement product the last couple years which sent me all over the country meeting with police agencies. Sold a few, but budgets were tight but it was fun to meet brother and sister officers as I am a retired police Captain, former Homicide detective. The program ended at the end of 2011, so I rented my home in Portland to a nice family and moved down here full time with my boy pug, named Junior.

Over the past year and a half I was vegan or veggie the majority of the time. Sometimes it was tough in some cities. But now that I am down here it is becoming easier. I found this site while I was searching for Veggie/Vegan classes so I can learn to make good food at home.

I also adopted( Arizona Pug Rescue and Adoption ) a stray girl pug who is delightful but had lived an awful life... if I meet you I have quite the story of her near death experience.

Animal rights issues are very important to me. And recently I have become more involved in contacting our state elected officials on farm animal rights issues and I recently was accepted as an official volunteer with the Humane Society of the United States. I do like to go to sporting events that do not involve animals such as rodeos.

But I do love my ice skating coyotes, our baseball playing D'Backs and the football playing Cardinals. I am a darn nice guy who is looking for someone that could help me with the serious issues, the fun issues like going on dates and learning about fun places around the valley and see where that leads.

Here's the basic scoop on me:

I'm divorced and have a good relationship with my ex (but not "too good"), so no drama there. I have a daughter who's 5 years old and switches between her mom and me, and a 13 year old daughter from a previous relationship who lives out of state. I'm not interested in having more children, but if you have one or two, it might work out.

My views on the world don’t always match the social norm, but I'm not weird or anything. I'm vegetarian, and mostly vegan. I’m passionate about science and the possibilities discovery and knowledge bring; and I don’t believe in gods, spirits, ghosts, unicorns, or other mythical beings or dogma. I am really fascinated by other beliefs and love to have healthy discussions about all kinds of topics, so I'm not one to shut you down for not agreeing with me.

I am a really sweet guy who didn't choose to start over. I've never betrayed, battered, or belittled a woman. I miss the sharing and caring of being in love. My income is modest, but my home is paid off. I taught elementary school for many years and am now tutoring. I have been more or less the political leader of the animal rights movement in AZ, having organized several campaigns, including those that ended cockfighting, took on the abuse at the dog track, and closed two stores for buying dogs from puppy mills. I was beaching it daily on Long Island and communing with the wonderful sun, air, waves and sand. It was a high experience. I didn't stick with raw through the winter but stayed veggie. Live on 80 acres near Grand Canyon, but not a hermit, just prefer the company of the plants, trees and animals to most humans a lot of the time. Like to watch the Sun come up on the eastern horizon & go down on the western one--with no human evidence in between. For many years my conscience told me not to eat scientient animals--especially mammals--but I wouldn't listen. Then, finally, my body told me that if I didn't listen to my conscience it would die in protest. Own & fly Cessna airplanes based at Valle A/P for fun to enjoy this beautiful geography and hang out in the sky since I'm not near the ocean. Had & bred/trained llamas (30-F, 3-M) for a number of years. Lot of sailing experience on Pacific--miss the sea, but flying helps to commune with the eternal: cloud waves, instead of beach waves. I enjoy the lack of ambulance & police sirens of the City and can go there when the need or desire arises. Have house (5bd, 3ba) pretty well set up for guests who often come to enjoy the peace & quiet and decompress.

Hi I’m Seth. I spent the first 16 years of my life on the East Coast and then moved
West, so now my friends say I am a hybrid—an interesting mix of East Coast and
West Coast.

From the East, I definitely learned to speak my mind, and I also developed the
drive and passion to take some risks at a young age. I was only a month out
of college when I started working onboard Air Force One. What an incredible
experience! To this day I actually don’t know how I got the job—I literally just got
a phone call out of the blue one day and they asked me if I’d like to work for the
President. Um…yes!

From the West, I’ve developed a passion and compassion for animals and the
environment. I volunteer at an animal shelter every week and have been a
vegetarian for most of my life.

While I’m not looking for the “female me” I would love to share some of my

Hi! I love to go backpacking, for long walks and bike trips. I don't expect to find anyone who shares this passion, but I love to rollerblade! Volunteering with stray animals, especially dogs, is one of my favorite things to do. My great job as a wilderness ranger suits me just right, hiking lots and working with people in the backcountry. I have a small but loving family, a few members on either coast. I can spend an amazing amount of time in any health food store... You may recognize me from New Frontiers if you live in Flagstaff! I have a tiny little business making hula hoops for grown-ups. I'm basically happy with myself, easy to be around. I'm generous, friendly and straightforward, and if you are funny, I am delighted! I'm definitely on the active side, but I like to cook, stretch, read and am pretty laid back.
