I am lucky. I have good friends and good health. I’m retired with time to pursue activities I like. I’m fairly independent and enjoy a healthy balance of being with others and spending time alone. Walking, doing yoga, and dancing keep me in pretty good shape. I spend many hours “puttering” around in my Mt. Airy row house. Two sweet elderly cats share my peaceful home; I can’t imagine life without a cat or dog. Sharing a home-cooked meal (do you cook?) trumps eating out at a fancy restaurant any time. My best vacation ever was a biking and camping trip in Maine.
I strive for simplicity and living with less. I respect and enjoy nature and especially like walking on local wooded trails. I recycle and compost. Whenever possible I buy what I need in thrift stores and at yard sales – another way to recycle, and it’s fun! I try to live my life in a way that does not harm other living creatures – people, animals, and most insects included (fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes – look out!). I’ve been a vegan for many years.

Just recently I started up a CSA on my property with a mission to provide high quality organic produce at a reasonable price so that urban low income folks can afford it and strive to live a healthy lifestyle. I am a goal setter and work diligently to acheive my goals.
I love to cook and bake all things vegan. My passions are biking, triathlons, homesteading (to include gardening), being barefoot, learning all that I can and using that knowledge to help others.
I am very social and love hosting potlucks or attending just about anything. Though I tend to enjoy free or very cheap activities. I've been known to make my own random fun for the sake of putting a smile on someones face.
I do attend church regularely and would consider my faith an important aspect of my life.
Video games, tv, and watching excessive movies are some things I abhore. It's great to relax every now and again but even down time should mostly be productive (spending time with others, playing board games, etc.) and not just vegetative.

Things I really don't need in my life: Please no smokers or heavy drinkers/partiers. And while this might knock a bunch of you out of the running if you were interested before - no one who is really religious, really political, really sporty, really reluctant to eat vegetables, try new foods, experience new things. No heavy gamers - been there - done that. Not into scary movies, selfishness, excessive pride, (negative) competitive nature (where fun is forgotten), sports, meat, politics, pushy religion, hate, racism, almost anything that puts people on opposite sides of each other. If you've gotten this far and don't think I'm completely insane I applaud you :)

Creative, literary type actively working on fiction and art projects, as well as doing prospect research work for the Penn fundraising department. Introverted, but not shy; ambitious, but not in a material sense. Raised in Bucks County, PA and now live in Center City.
Much of my life is devoted to art, with my tastes tending toward the classics (but with many exceptions). I like to travel, especially to cities, and over the past few months have visited Manhattan, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Los Angeles. There is a strong strain of romanticism in me, but not the Hallmark kind.
I appreciate quieter activities and dislike loud bars & clubs, but I also have a zest for new experiences and the capacity to enjoy things that I never imagined I would, such as swimming in the Wissahickon. I am not an athlete, but do exercise regularly (but in truth would rather be browsing in a bookstore or reading in a café); and while not outdoorsy in the way of liking camping or kayaking, I do like to take long city walks and always enjoy visiting an ocean.
What else? To get a bit specific, it’s a given that I’m an avid reader and spend my fair share of time in libraries and (used) bookshops, but I also very much like backgammon, espresso snobbery, drumming, long train rides, art museums, and post-rock music. Ah, and balconies. Especially balconies.

it may sound crazy but I consider myself a lot like a monkey. Im really easy going and full of energy and life. I like to just hang and just swing on by. Physical activities are my favorite and climbing trees are the best lol. All around im really sweet, adorable and easy to get along with. Plus monkeys are the best animal ever and it don't hurt to eat bananas haha.
