Hi. I'm a relatively new vegetarian. But I've been crawling toward this lifestyle for several years. I very much appreciate the company of people interested in taking their diets seriously, who make nutritional choices based on health, morality and pleasure. I'm an epidemiologist and author by profession and a lover of fitness, food, history, cartoons, goofiness and philosophy. Right now, I'm a professor of Global Health at the University of Ottawa. Hey, it pays the bills and the students are nice enough. Here are the personal ad basics -- I enjoy cycling, squash, running, martial arts, yoga (though, to be honest, the flakiness gets on my nerves), all kinds of board games and meaningless trivia. I've lived in a lot of places. My hometown is Toronto, and I spend a lot of time there. But right now my residence is in Ottawa. Sigh. I know.
