Enthusiastic and creative, I’ve dabbled in art all my life, and I use creativity in my work every day. I spent 20 years in the business world before pursuing a Master's degree and a new career. I currently advise students and teach wellness in higher ed. I'm spiritual, but don't wear it on my sleeve. A deep love and commitment to animals and nature inspires my vegetarianism (now 20 years), and I participate in bird conservation through volunteer work. I enjoy chanting, meditating, and learning about Buddhism and thrive on learning. Books are my friends (and nemeses!). I enjoy culture and diversity: I was a yoga teacher for several years, a working musician for a few, visited a Hopi family on the rez, and did family research in Greece, to name a few adventures. Yet most of all, I relish sitting—whether watching a documentary or film, quietly listening to bird calls from my deck, or being on the beach with a good friend, taking in the sun and talking about life and laughing together.
