Longmeadow, massachusetts vegetarians, vegans and raw foodist events and singles dating

I have been a vegetarian since I was 10 and had my first encouter with the horror of eating animals when I was much younger on a family fishing trip.  I have been intending to make a huge change in my life for some time and adopt a vegan lifestyle and something about right now in my life has caused me to make the change.  So, I'm new.  I'm in the midst of going through all of my household items and clothing and switching everything over to cruelty free (most of my makeup is but now I'm making sure everything I buy is cruelty free) as well as not buying any clothing made from animals.  Working all the kinks out.  There are a few sentimental leather item I won't give away because I believe that would be a waste.  I won't be buying any leather but I don't have a problem buying used leather as long as it is not supporting an industry that is up and running.  I've never dated or been with a vegetarian/vegan man.  I wonder if this radical change in lifestyle will make it harder for me to meet my man...or maybe easier because this is something I am so passionate about.  Also, could really use some advice on what to feed my cats because they are obligate carnivores obviously and I do not want to jeopardize their health in any way.  Any advice is much appreciated.  I have no vegan/vegetarian friends so advice is always great.
