hello there. i find myself writing this on a lovely and brisk sunday evening sitting at the kitchen table, sipping some tea. i just ate some seitan bourguignon that a friend gifted to me. i must admit that i had to look up the correct spelling on that delightful french word, and chances are that google has done me wrong. this morning my father, sister and i took a hike through malibu canyon quite early. would you believe that there was frost on the ground?! so lovely. and moss, lots of moss! how lovely is moss? it's like the softest, little green carpet. don't you just want to sit on it? then we lay on the beach and watched the surfers and felt the warmth of the sun on our faces and the crisp sand between our toes. i must admit this was my first visit to the beach in months because i am an east side girl who loves the city streets of los feliz and the hills of silverlake, and the dank charm of the valley, but we all need to get out of our comfort zone from time to time, which is why i find myself here as well.
